Established in 1995, The Northwest Church Family Network (NCFN) is incorporated as a tax-exempt organization and received its approval under section 501 (c) (3) in March of 1997. NCFN provides semi-permanent housing for up to twenty-eight formerly homeless families with children. The Northwest Church Family Network understands and realizes that there are barriers that prevent families from achieving independence and has designed an array of services and activities to address issues that families face in the nation’s capitol. A contribution to NCFN supports the following Program Components:
- Case Management Services that include goal setting and evaluation
- Life skills workshops on topics such as; Parenting, Stress Management, Financial Literacy, etc.
- Community building activities and events
- Information and referral linkages with community resources
NCFN strives to create a community where participants can raise their children without fear of crime and drugs. NCFN also seeks to build a collaborative atmosphere that is safe, nurturing and encourages responsibility and self-sufficiency. |
